The short version: this site has no accounts and no server-side storage. Everything you type into the calculator is processed by your own browser and is never transmitted to us or anyone else. We set no cookies of our own; our advertising provider may, and that is covered under Advertising below.
Who operates this site
SellerLedger (seller-ledger.com) is an independent project. We are not affiliated with Seller Ledger, Inc. (sellerledger.com), the e-commerce bookkeeping service — a different company, and a different product. What we do not collect
- Your calculator inputs. Prices, costs, quantities, shipping and the fee rates you edit — all of it is computed locally in JavaScript and never sent anywhere. Closing the tab discards it.
- Accounts or identity. There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no names, email addresses or passwords unless you choose to email us.
- Cookies of our own. We set none. Third-party advertising cookies are described under Advertising below.
- Cross-site tracking of our own. We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting or advertising identifiers to follow you between sites. Google's advertising cookies and identifiers are described under Advertising below.
Analytics
We run no analytics or measurement product of any kind — no visitor counter, no tag manager, no session recording, no fingerprinting. We do not know which pages you viewed, where you arrived from, or how long you stayed. The only trace your visit leaves with us is the ordinary connection log kept by our host, described under Hosting and server logs below, which is not exported to us in a form that identifies visitors. Our advertising provider carries out its own measurement, described under Advertising below.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any web host, Cloudflare processes technical connection data — including your IP address — in order to deliver the page and protect against attacks and abuse. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms and is not exported to us in a form that identifies visitors.
If you email us, we hold that message and your address for as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of reported issues. We do not add you to any mailing list and do not share the address.
Advertising
This site is set up to show advertising through Google AdSense. The AdSense script loads on every content page; it is deliberately absent from the error page. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to select, cap and measure ads, and may combine that with information collected on other sites they serve.
Advertising has no access to anything you type into the calculator. Your figures are processed locally and are never transmitted, so they cannot be used for ad targeting.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, personalised advertising is shown only where you have given consent through a Google-certified consent message, and you can refuse or change that choice at any time. Wherever you are, you can review and limit Google's ad personalisation at My Ad Center, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com.
An ads.txt file at the root of this domain lists the only sellers authorised to offer advertising space here.
No selling of data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. There is essentially none to sell.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, our processing rests on: legitimate interests for keeping the site secure and available, since we run no analytics and carry out no profiling of our own; and consent, gathered through a Google-certified consent message, for the advertising cookies and identifiers described under Advertising above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. Because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, the practical scope of these rights here is narrow — but email us and we will do what we can. Requests are answered within one month.
Children
This site is a tool for adults running small businesses and online shops. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
International transfers
Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and Google, which serves the advertising, both operate global networks — so technical data such as your IP address may be processed outside your country under the safeguards described in those providers' terms.
Changes
Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Because the site is small, changes are rare; a change in what Google and its advertising partners collect would be the most likely reason for one.
